You must provide at least one of the documents, as listed below, to satisfy proof of full legal name, date of birth and US duration of stay/status.
Non-US citizens with visiting visa classifications are not eligible to obtain a DC driver license or DC identification card. Non-US citizens may obtain a DC driver license if they possess a USCIS Notice of Action, Form I-797, reflecting you have applied for an employment authorization card, permanent resident card or adjustment of status.
- Foreign Passport w/visa and I-94 reflecting duration of stay
- Foreign Passport w/visa (classification A and G), I-94, and US State Dept Letter (reflecting no diplomatic immunity)
- Foreign Passport w/visa (classification F), I-94 and I-20
- Foreign Passport w/visa (classification J), I-94 and DS2019
- Employment Authorization Card
- Permanent Resident Card
- Permanent Resident Alien Card
