Driver Record

How can I get a copy of my driving record?

To obtain a copy of your driving record:

  • You may obtain a non-certified driver record online. Click here for non-certified online driver record requirements
  • Appear in person at any DMV service location. You must visit a DMV service center to obtain a certified driver record. A certified driver record contains the DC DMV stamp and is required for most official purposes.
  • Pay the Drivers record fees
  • Present proof of identification

Another person may obtain a copy of your driving record for you as long as he or she presents written authorization from the driver, a copy of the Drivers photo identification, and his or her own photo identification.
