Proof of Ability to Drive

You must provide at least one primary source document, as listed below, to satisfy proof of ability to drive.

Any one of the following documents will be accepted:

Primary Sources (one required), must be original:

  • US driver license not expired for more than 90 days.
  • Out of State certified driving record (issued within the last 30 days) showing a valid license not expired for more than 90 days.
  • Unexpired Out of County driver license.
  • Unexpired DC learner permit and successful completion of skills road test.

Note: All applicants must also pass an eye test and satisfactorily address any medical issues that affect the ability to drive.
