Commercial Drivers License

Who is not eligible for a Commercial Driver License?

You are not eligible to apply for a DC Commercial Driver License if you:

  • Have a revoked or suspended driver license
  • Have a certain medical conditions such as diabetes II
  • Have a certain criminal felony convictions within the last three years (if you would like to work as a school bus driver)
  • Have a scheduled hearings on moving violation tickets
  • Have a unresolved citations (such as tickets or judgment) in another jurisdiction
  • Are a non-US citizen do not possess a valid Permanent Resident Card
