If you are hearing impaired, arrangements can be made for an interpreter to assist during the transaction, including Adjudication Services, with DMV incurring all costs associated with the use of an interpreter. Please e-mail us at dmv@dc.gov to set up an appointment for the interpreter to meet you at a DMV service center.

Hearing-impaired drivers must operate a vehicle equipped with a properly positioned outside mirror on the left side of the vehicle. This restriction is placed on the driver's license to inform law enforcement personnel.
