In addition to the regular series vehicle tags, the District has a number of organizational tags from which to choose. There is a one time fee and an extra annual display fee for this service.

If you would like to obtain organizational vehicle tags, contact the participating local organization for an application and approval. All organizational tag types are available at any DMV service location.

Required

You must bring the following to the DMV location to obtain organizational tags:

• Written authorization from the organization stating that you qualify to receive the organizational tags.
• Valid Identification of the Registered Owner(s)
• Existing Vehicle Tags

If you plan to display the organizational tags on your vehicle, you must surrender both of your current vehicle tags and registration card and pay the additional annual display fee.
