To renew your registration in person at a DMV service
location, present the following documents listed below
and pay the applicable fees:
If you are changing
your address during your vehicle registration renewal, provide a proof of your current residency
and a valid DC driver's license, learner's permit, or non-driver's ID card with the new address.
If renewing for a leased or company vehicle, submit a
Vehicle Power of Attorney* letter or letter
from company on letterhead authorizing you to renew the tags.
